August 5, 2006 Meeting Is A Picnic

Foster’s Pond Corporation
Minutes of the Meeting
August 5, 2006
31 Glenwood Road, Andover
3:10p.m. to 3:20 p.m.

About 30 people attended the 2006 summer meeting of the Foster's Pond Corporation.

The outdoor meeting convened at 3:10 p.m. under sunny skies at 31 Glenwood Road. The meeting was held during the 2d Annual Pond-Wide Pot-Luck Picnic, as two dozen kids splashed in the pond, crowded into the near-by hot tub, or played croquet.

Steve Cotton recounted the FPC's accomplishments in the first half of 2006: completing the first winter drawdown in 30 years, clean-up of the Pond and the dam, successful weed treatment of Dug Pond, restoration of the raft in the main Pond, and Town approval for site improvements at the dam.

He thanked Dave Brown and Trish Fleming for making their property available for the picnic. He then thanked the many volunteers who had helped make these achievements possible. There was a big round of applause as the names were read off.

Dave Brown gave the Treasurer's Report.

The meeting was adjourned at 3:20 p.m.
